❶　 Mechanism of erection

Erection is a phenomenon in which a large amount of blood flows into the corpus cavernosa rapidly, its internal pressure rises, and the penis swells enlarged.

After that, the cavernous sinuses expand and the cavernosal vein which becomes an outflow path from the corpus cavernosum is compressed with the white membrane, the venous system is closed, and an erection occurs.

In addition, non-adrenergic noncholinergic nerve plays an important role in the development of erection, and when the signal from the brain finally reaches the corpus cavernosum, nitric oxide is discharged from nerves and cells, and a substance called cyclic GMP is released from the tissue of the corpus cavernosum exposed to nitric oxide.

This substance has the effect of relaxing the artery, as a result the artery expands, a large amount of blood flows in the artery and is confined and erects.

And after ejaculation ... excitation signal is not sent from the brain, furthermore an enzyme called PDE5 is secreted, decomposing cyclic GMP.
